What a sweet story!
A family in Texas found a little 4-pound baby deer in a hole. They tried to leave her out for her mama, but the mama never came home, so they got the right permits to be able to raise her until she could be released. And that's what they did! She eventually got accepted by a wild herd but still comes home for visits. Adorable, happy story. :)
She wears a bright-orange collar, assumingly to protect her from the Texan hunters. Hee. ¶ 3:07 PM
