I would like to know –
Who can live without pets?
I often think of that while hugging on a struggling-to-get-away cat. Who would be happy coming home to a place without little animals to pet/feed/hug/talk to?
I stayed for the first time in my apartment last night. I brought my tortoise, but even with her eating cantaloupe in her habitat under my desk, I was sad I didn’t have any kitties there. In fact, I sadly mistook this pile of workout stuff for a cat more than once last night.
See, Kitten is always around when you're in the shower or something. Not sure if she's just amazed you're facing the scary(!) water and is in awe of your bravery, or if she's protectful, or a pervert.. Anyway, she's always in the bathroom when you're there. I'm used to that. So at the apartment, I see shoes out of the corner of my eye and think, "Hey baby!"
The tortoise, btw, is doing well. I converted my planter outside to a little tortoise playground.
I went home during lunch yesterday to let her explore it for the first time. "Explore" isn't exactly what she did - instead, she wedged herself under the gerber daisy plant and wouldn't come out. Oh well. :)
I gotta figure out the focusing on this thing. It ALWAYS chooses the wrong thing to focus on, I swear.
