ecosphere
i've long wanted one of these, which i first saw in a signals catalog (which is a pretty cool catalog; check it out).
but last night, i saw one in person for the first time, at brookstone.
omg, they're so cool! the little shrimps are PERFECT LITTLE SHRIMP. just tiny! and they buzz around the little sphere. these ecospheres stay self-sustaining for an average of two years but can live up until 10.
in case anyone has an extra $65, let me know and i'll hook you up with an address.
(this is going to work one of these days. yet, somehow, i still have no roomba.)

I got one for Alex a few years ago. Every time we go to his house, i get a kick out of watching it.
If you ever come visit, we'll have to go to the Museum of Natural History. They have a gigantic one - so cool.
